The Cobargo Tourist and Business Association has secured funding to support community engagement and strategic planning to create a vision and action plan for the future of Cobargo and Quaama.
In keeping with the Celebrate Cobargo initiative, this project seeks to bring the broader community together to align efforts and investments through development of a common vision, supported by a smart and achievable action plan.
Business Cobargo have engaged local Bega-based firm, NGH to support the engagement and facilitate development of the plan.
NGH will work with Business Cobargo to gather to gather community and business inputs into the plan via targeted surveys, workshops, and a stand at the Celebrate Cobargo event.
The workshops are proposed to be held in Cobargo in the coming months and the plan will be shared for community feedback. The plan will provide an opportunity to integrate the many activities underway in Cobargo and Quaama, while providing recommendations on how to fund and manage the proposed action plan.
This project was initiated by the Bega Valley Shire Business Forum, who have been coordinating development of roadmaps to disaster recovery, future growth and long-term resilience for the 7 business communities in the South Coast. These activities are funded by the by the NSW Government’s Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund.
